“I have seen the future of modular construction and it is Green, LEED-certified, environmentally friendly, extraordinarily efficient, and far superior to site-built construction…”
Cliff Cort, Triumph Modular

After 15 years in the modular construction industry, Cliff Cort had a vision of a superior product - a modular building which was LEED-certified and out-performed site-built construction in every single category imaginable. He had many obstacles to overcome, not the least of which was the negative connotations associated with some of the lower-cost, lower-quality temporary modular buildings that his industry has produced. But Cliff knew that it was time to move to a better place, and the movement toward Green Design and Environmentally Friendly construction was just the catalyst he needed to take modular construction to the next level. Modular construction could be more Green and more environmentally friendly than any site-built construction projects. Cliff placed Triumph in a collaboration to create SmartSpace, which ultimately won one national award, and two international awards. The innovative SmartSpace approach combined modular construction with Green Design, all in the interest of providing higher-quality and more environmentally conscious construction. Fresh off his whirlwind tour of promoting the national award-winning modular classroom SmartSpace, Cliff was approached by Architecture Involution, who had developed a highly advanced sustainable (Green) classroom which was also educationally superior to any classroom in the country. They were looking for construction advice as they finalized the details of their multi-year quest to design the perfect classroom. They called their development CASE 21 - Creative Academic Sustainable Environments for the 21st Century. There was no need for a formal business or financial relationship, Architecture Involution simply needed some innovative input from an industry that would eventually be constructing their “Perfect Classroom” and wanted to make sure the modular construction industry would respond well to the design. Cliff was elated, as right before him stood an opportunity to take modular construction and SmartSpace to a much higher level, and at the same time be involved in creating 21st Century educational facilities… it was perfect.

Cliff responded to Ai3 with a resounding “Yes! We can build it,” and immediately reached out to one of his manufacturing partners, NRB Inc. NRB happens to be one of the most sophisticated and progressive permanent modular builders in North America. Recognized as a leader in advanced modular construction technology, NRB has also recently won national and international awards for Green Design, as well as dozens of industry awards for architectural excellence and technical innovation. NRB currently has under construction one of the first ever permanent modular projects destined for LEED Gold certification. Triumph and NRB began collaborating once again, and confirmed that, together, they could provide the building services necessary to satisfy the requirements of the CASE 21 design project.

After months of thorough evaluation that included engineering, cost estimating, materials evaluation, scheduling, design review, design revisions, and constructability analysis, Triumph and NRB are ready to deliver! They stand poised and ready to provide competitive pricing and a rapid deployment schedule for any client/owner who wishes to secure the most educationally advanced, high-quality, technologically superior, Green, creative, Sustainable academic classroom space in the world.
